Raspberry Beret
Hmmmmmmmm, hm! Raspberry season, finding lots of things to do with them besides giving them away. Everyones favourite has been Raspberry Sorbet. So easy to make.
2 cups of sugar
2 cups of water
bring to the boil together and let them cool.
Add 2 cups of pureed raspberries, stir well and throw the lot in the freezer, stir two or three times before it freezes to make a really creamy dessert without any cream. Low fat, but high sugar. But then, I'm not afraid of sugar ;-)
We've also made apricot sorbet the same way - I told Caleb you can replace the 2 cups of fruit with anything, including onions, the idea of which did not appeal to him a great deal.

The raspberries look amazing, as does the honey and bossy SM if I was ten years younger I would follow the link.
All the best for 2008
Wow it's all been happening at your place. Thanks for the update.

Hi I loved your book. I enjoy reading your new blog. I am glad you guys are seeming to be settleing into tassie so well. I love across the river over at Wattle Grove beautiful place down here in the Huon.
So sad to hear of Trevs dads passing.
**Wow! I have used the exact same recipe to make Peach Sorbet - truly divine :D I am reading your book again (for the 3rd time!) and I'd just like to say again how inspiring your story is. Thank You for not being perfect - you keep me going :)
Those berries look so delicious. My 3 year old was looking over my shoulder at the laptop, and his pronouncement: "yum!"
It sounds like everything has been a little crazy, so I hope it all settles down with the new year.
I wish you good rainfall and gentle sunshine in exactly the right amounts, and lots more berries and honey!
We love raspberries and I have some frozen in the freezer right now - so we need to try this. Sounds like a simple dessert that would be great in the summer. Thanks.
I just dropped in to say hello and found your new blog. Excellent! Can I swap a tray of mangoes for some raspberries? They look delicious.
It's great to see the progress you're making.
I'll add this blog to my blog roll.
You've been tagged, chack my blog for details.
ps, those raspberries look delicious. I do want to plant some before next season.
